Celebrate National Beer Day at These Breweries around your Wray Apartment

BY Blog Editor

There’s no better way to relish the much-anticipated arrival of spring than with a cold beer. When National Beer Day comes along on April 7, you have an excuse to indulge in your favorite brews from breweries making their own beer near our Wray apartments.

Whether you love a crisp IPA, a hearty porter or a refreshing ale, they have it all at these local breweries. Stop by for a brew–or a few–and get in the National Beer Day spirit! Plus, many of them offer beers to-go as well.

Bluejacket, located at 300 Tingey St SE, Washington, DC which is 15 minutes from your Wray apartment, is a microbrewery and restaurant serving craft beers and American eats in century-old former factory.

Bluejacket was built to be a brewery without boundaries, allowing beer director Greg Engert and his team of brewers to create beers across the broadest range of styles and flavors possible. At Bluejacket, understanding of and respect for the traditions and techniques of classic brewing coexist with a spirit of constant experimentation, innovation and collaboration, leading to delicious beers that showcase seasonality, culinary inspiration, and historic interpretation.

Other Half Brewing, located at 1401 Okie St NE, Washington, DC which is 14 minutes from your Wray apartment, was founded in 2014 by three friends with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company that they wanted to be a part of.

The Other Half team believes that local breweries play an important role in their communities which is why they partner with these other likeminded brewers and brands across the country and the world. They also have an outpost in NYC.
