It’s Rosé All Day at These Washington DC Wine Destinations

BY Blog Editor

Here in Washington DC, a beautiful June day with the sun shining and gentle breeze through the air means one thing – rose all day! That’s especially true on June 12, which is National Rose Day.

You can enjoy as many glasses of rose as you please near our Wray apartments, where there are tons of bars and restaurants specializing in great wine selections. Looking to unwind with a glass of rose – or a few? Visit these spots without venturing too far from home for a truly relaxing afternoon.

Cork Wine Bar & Market, located at 1805 14th St NW, Washington, DC which is 11 minutes from your Wray apartment, is a cool wine bar for New American small plates and wines. They also have a market bistro and tasting bar downstairs.

At the wine bar, there are at least 50 wines by the glass and 250 bottles from small producers around the world. It is an affordable, casually elegant place that demystifies the world of wine by giving you real descriptions of what you are drinking, flights of wine so you can explore different regions and varietals, and suggestions for pairing their wines with sharing plates.

Flight Wine Bar, located at 777 6th St NW, Washington, DC which is 10 minutes from your Wray apartment, is a lounge serving wine, wine-based cocktails and small bites in a modern setting.

Flight opened in 2014 when the city had just a few wine bars. Owners and sommeliers Kabir Amir and Swati Bose have traveled the world selecting the wine for their robust wine list consisting of over 600 wines in various formats, including 22 wine flights and 35+ wines by the glass. They focus on small, family-owned estates, as well as lesser known varietals and regions.
