Summer Is The Time For S’mores. Here’s Where To Get S’mores-Inspired Desserts In Washington, DC

BY Blog Editor

There’s no dessert that says summer quite like s’mores, especially if it means roasting your own marshmallows over an open fire on a perfect August night. But here in Washington DC, you don’t need to wait for a campfire to enjoy s’mores – you can get s’mores-inspired desserts nearby.

Get a taste of this delectable dessert at restaurants and bakeries near our Wray apartments that offer their own creative takes on the classic sweet. It will be your new favorite way to enjoy melted chocolate, sticky marshmallows and sweet graham crackers!

Camp Wharf at the Firepit, located at 101 District Square SW, Washington, DC which is nine minutes from your Wray apartment, has a wood-burning fire and a vintage Airstream trailer with everything you need for the perfect s’more — marshmallow, chocolate, graham crackers and roasting stick.

Now you can also enjoy a Ghirardelli frozen hot chocolate and frozen lemonade to help you stay cool. Camp Wharf is also now featuring a S’moreo — classic Oreo cookie wafers with a giant marshmallow for roasting. Come and check it out on Fridays 6-11 p.m., Saturdays 4-11 p.m. and Sundays 4-10 p.m.

DC Harvest, located at 517 H St NE, Washington, DC which is 14 minutes from your Wray apartment, offers locally sourced modern American fare dished out in a two-story setting with a modern farmhouse feel.

One of their most popular desserts is the s’mores chocolate pot du crème, which includes dark chocolate custard, toasted marshmallows and graham cracker cookies for $8. Come check it out at this family owned, independent restaurant serving a seasonal menu utilizing specifically sourced products from local farms and vendors.
