These Washington D.C. Food Trucks Are Perfect For a Quick Yet Delicious Bite

BY Blog Editor

We get it – summertime is the busiest time! Between running around planning your next trip, shopping for new summer clothes and picking up a gift for that upcoming summer party, it can be hard to find time to grab a bite on the go.

But thanks to the food trucks located near our Wray apartments, you can enjoy a restaurant-quality dish without ever sitting down at a white-clothed table. Here are some to head to for sandwiches, international eats, healthy meals and more!

Abunai Poke, located at 1920 L St NW, Washington, DC which is five minutes from your Wray apartment, offers raw fish that is fresh, sustainable and organic over rice with toppings in a Hawaiian food truck.

The founder, who is part Native Hawaiian and Japanese from Honolulu, Hawaii, started doing catering, pop-up events and a food truck in Washington, DC in 2016. A year later, she opened two quick-service poke shops in addition to doing various events and her food trucks in Washington, DC and Old City, Philadelphia.

Rito Loco, located at 606 Florida Ave NW #1853, Washington, DC which is 12 minutes from your Wray apartment, is a food truck and counter-serve cafe offering a health-conscious take on burritos.

Rito Loco began as a food truck, which started rolling on the streets of Washington, DC in 2012. Owner Louie Hankins quickly knew he had a hit on his hands. Lines lurched down DC streets crowded with guests waiting to get their fill of the truck’s signature tacos and namesake toasted ‘ritos.
