BY Blog Editor

It may be chilly right now in Washington, D.C., but those with a love for all things fashion know it’s also the perfect opportunity to stock up on new parkas, faux fur coats and other cold-weather gear.

In our fashion-forward city – and within only short drives from our Wray apartments – you can find tons of boutiques with huge selections of winter coats in every size, style and color to fit your unique personality. Check out these shops before the season is over!

Filson, located at 1631 14th St NW, Washington, D.C. which is 12 minutes from your Wray apartment, is a long-running retailer offering rugged outdoor clothing, travel bags and watches.

Filson began as an outfitter for the daring pioneers of the 1897 Yukon Gold Rush who abandoned the shelter of society seeking fortune in wild and unforgiving territory. Based in Seattle, Filson’s legacy is still one of manufacturing best-in-class goods engineered for dependability and maximum utility. Their durable, tightly-woven Mackinaw Wool is the finest example of nature’s oldest and most-trusted cold-weather clothing.

Everard’s Clothing, located at 1802 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, D.C. which is 10 minutes from your Wray apartment, is an upscale retailer selling men’s and women’s apparel including dresses, coats, suits and shoes.

Everard’s is a family-owned business run by husband-and-wife team Louis and Jennifer Everard. The business was inspired by Louis’ upbringing in a tailor shop in Jamaica, followed by nearly 20 years working for Bloomingdales. The business began in 1993 as a made-to-measure business. The Georgetown store opened in 1999 and features a wide selection of men’s and women’s clothing with each piece personally selected by the owners.
